Moni Herreros, new General Director of the Piano Youth Experience

I am very excited to be part of this fifteenth edition of the Piano Youth Experience. Unlike other piano courses, it offers a holistic experience of immeasurable value for young generations, boosting their motivation in their daily lives as young pianists.

In addition to the masterclasses and interpretation workshops with two great musicians of their generation, Leonel Morales and Javier Herreros, the students will be immersed for a week in an excellent musical environment, mingling with magnificent musicians, attending the concerts of Leonel Morales and Friends, the early rounds of the prestigious María Herrero International Piano Competition, and ultimately putting into practice everything they’ve learned by performing in a top-level concert hall.

Aside from this, our intention is for the students to feel fully comfortable so that our goal can flourish in them. For this reason, the approach will be absolutely personalized, and important values such as effort, patience, enthusiasm, teamwork, and cooperation, among others, will be worked on in the classroom.

Paraphrasing Maria Montessori:

“Plant good ideas in children, even if they don’t understand them. Time will decipher them in their intellect and make them grow in their hearts.”

We will strive to plant seeds in your children and accompany both them and you, the families, from the beginning to the end of the Piano Youth experience, enjoying watching them grow happy and loving music. That is our firm and noble purpose.

The legacy of María Herrero and Leonel Morales as founders of this course for young generations is of infinite value. I must say that I feel very responsible and at the same time fortunate that I’ve been entrusted with the general direction of this unique course. Starting with the teachers, continuing with the innovative workshops preparing future artists and providing information for their families, followed by access to prestigious international events, facilities, and location. There is nothing like this in Spain, and it is an honor for me to be a part of it.
